DIANA'S WORK
Site Celebrates Her Paintings & Portraits
Mark Springer's wife, Diana, has been creating and selling her artwork for more than 20 years. She specializes in commissioned portraits, usually working from a photograph and other personal information to produce a likeness that not only captures the subject’s appearance but personality as well.
Now a new Web site -- SpringerPaintings.com -- enables you to view samples of her work and to reach the artist if you have a project of your own in mind.
A lifelong resident of Huntington, West Virginia, Diana is a graduate of Marshall University. To further her art education, she has also completed numerous art classes and participated in various art workshops with prominent national artists, including Daniel Greene and Mary Whyte. She is also a member of Tri-State Artists Association. Some of her paintings are available at Bodyworks Spa and Gallery in Heritage Village in downtown Huntington.
Diana’s specialty is commissioned portraits, but any subject can be made into a unique painting. Her primary mediums are oil and pastel. By using a photograph or even just starting with an idea, Diana can create a family heirloom that will last a lifetime. A painting can make a great gift for family, close friends, or even a gift for yourself.
You're invited to drop by Diana's new site -- and don't miss the Demos section for a little insight into how a favorite photo can become a traditioned painting!
